‘Black Books’ = hilarious British comedy

Black Books
One of my all-time favorite comedies is ‘Black Books’, a British comedy starring Dylan Moran and Bill Bailey, with Tamsen Greig. One of the Netflix reviewers describes it as “Fawlty Towers meets Seinfeld,” which seems pretty apt. The two main actors Moran and Bailey are both stand-up comics, and their contrasting characters in this show set the stage for superb absurdist humor. Three series of six half-hour episodes were made between 2000 and 2004, all available on DVD and you can get them from Netflix. I just wish there were more! This series has a 9.2 rating at IMDB.
